We are excited to partner with Mike Pedziwiatr and James Koob to provide members and non-members group clinics, private lessons and USTA league player training. Both Mike and James are active members of Monroe Tennis Club

Michael Pedziwiatr, a USPTA certified professional instructor who is also Coach Youth Tennis/Net Generation and 10 & Under certified, started playing tennis over 35 years ago and was a hitting partner for Douglas Sachs who went on to play in the ATP tour in the 80’s and 90’s. He has been a player on many local championship teams and took 2nd place at the NTRP National Championships in Naples

Florida in 2018 at his skill level. His approach to teaching tennis is drastically different in the respect that students will learn something very useful and new during each lesson rather than just providing a hitting session, with large improvements in student stroke performance, strategy, and psychology in a short period of time.  Clinics and private lessons are available, as are specialty USTA league preparation clinics to improve USTA league player performance in both doubles and singles.

James Koob was born & raised in the Hudson Valley. He attended Roy C. Ketcham High School where he was elected captain of his team & played number one singles with a 55-15 record. James has worked with a variety of high-performance coaches not only on his tennis game, but his teaching ability as well. He works with adults and juniors, novice to advance. He provides quality instruction,

focusing on proper technique, good footwork, smart strategy, and a “fight till the end” mind set. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Despite SUNY New Paltz not having an NCAA men’s tennis team, that didn’t stop him from competing. He achieved a regional ranking as a junior, participated and Captained several teams in local USTA competition, in house leagues, club tournaments, as well as taking different classes/seminars with the USTA & USPTA. Along with being USPTA Professional certified, James also carries Coach/Youth Tennis/Net Generation and 10 & Under Certifications, and  is USTA SafePlay approved.
